| The large construction projects on existing railway line have serious interference with the transportation. Therefor, the security problems are particular outstanding. In recent years, there had broken a lot of accidents, especially the "4.28" accident is the most disastrous railway accident occurred since the foundation of our country. The social reaction is very strong. The achievement of construction on existing railway line needs a joint-effort of many departments. So, the coordination work is very difficult. The joint-part problems are serious. The in-depth research on them is necessary.In the beginning, this paper has introduced some related issues and organization process of construction projects on existing railway line. Based on these, the paper has analysised the interference mechanism between construction and transportation, found out the function-overlappings of various departments in the construction process. Then, the paper selects 15 key posts as the elements to construct joint-part subsystem, using the interpretative structural modeling to analysis the system structer, pointing out the key jonit-parts and dominant elements, finding out the main problems. At last, this paper proposed some measures to solve the joint-part problems.The main research contents are as follows:1. The comprehensive introduction of large construction projects on existing railway line.2. The analysis of interference mechanism between the construction and the transportation on the existing railway line.3. The identification and analysis of risk factors in the course of construction on existing railway line.4. The constrcution and analysis of the joint-part subsystem.5. The effective measures to solve the joint-part problems.China's railway is currently in the leap-forward development stage. In a long period, construction task will still be very heavy. So, the research on joint-part management will help to improve the security level of construction on existing railway line.
