Housing land is an important part of the urban construction land. The city road network is the link of the various sites. It is also important to determine the scale of residential conditions. The road network in housing land is an important part in operating efficiency between residential area road network and the city road network. This paper discusses the problem of traffic mode and transportation organization. The paper also contrasts the traffic mode and transportation organization at home and abroad.A research on the road network and traffic organization model on housing land in Dalian and Beijing was conducted in this article. It summed up the problems in road network and traffic organization model. The paper find the root and the causes of problems in the standard of road network model and traffic organization modelThis paper summarized the road network patten of residential area at home and abroad. The pattern based on main road, branch and the block path. The road network model can divides into 41 kinds on the road network spacing and branch form.The paper sums up experience of transportation organization on road sections, intersection, residential entrance.It point out that two blocks section competitive advantage of convenience on road section and branch connection and crossing. It is a good reference inour country.The last part of the article point that 400 meters to 600 meters is the reasonable spacing in the road network. In this part,a model based on 500 meters route spacings has been set up. It calculates the necessity of setting left-turn waiting zone and using two blocks section when an intersection have different distance and vehicle flow.
