Research On Relationship Between Land Use And Transportation Planning In Middle-sized And Small Cities

There are complicated interactions exist between Urban land use and transportation planning. From domestic and international research and practice, the only way for city development is real mutual coordination development ability between Urban land use and transportation planning, from the root of solve modern urban transportation problem and realize the effective use of land resources, finally decided whether or not the city sustainable development ability. This article discusses based on land use and urban traffic planning research practice from home and abroad ,to commence from the interaction relationship between both on analysis, proposed the coordinated development of the patterns and strategies, provides the basis for urban traffic planning formulated and transportation policy analysis and urban spatial structure adjustment in middle-sized and small cities.First, through the domestic and international urban transport and urban land use the research and practice of analysis, for my research to find out the breach. Second, this paper expounds the basic concept of the urban transport and urban land use, and analyses the interactions between them for the interaction mechanism research papers complete the theoretical basis. Third, article describes relationship of urban land use and urban transportation. For the two ways: on the one hand based on the interaction between urban transportation and urban land use, on the other hand from urban land use mode and urban transportation mode. Through the different modes of transportation of urban land layout and density, and of the influence of urban land expansion model and city traffic pattern analysis, including of urban spatial form and dealing with traffic problems of several strategic way of research. Fourth, the paper puts forward the urban land use and transportation planning coordination development strategy, and taking public transportation guide urban land-use development strategy. Article emphasizes on "public transport + slow-moving traffic" traffic patterns and "highly reachability, low traffic demand," the land-use patterns, puts forward the establishment of public transit oriented development mode of urban land use the necessity and some suggestions in middle-sized and small cities.
