Based on the analysis of the influence of the vibration and noise of the running transformer on China's power grid, the monitoring technology is studied and a web-based on-line monitoring system for the vibration and noise of the transformer is developed. Based on the integration of Client/Server and Browser/Server, the system realizes remote collection, monitoring and treatment of the vibration and noise of the running transformer with the acquisition equipment. With SQL Server 2000 as the database, the system uses Windows Socket communication mechanism to transfer data, ASP.NET and ADO.NET technology to realize web-based on-line monitoring. The system provides a scientific basis for in-depth study of the vibration and noise of the DC-Biased transformer. At present, the developed system has been put into use in real power grid, and the operation results show that the overall capability of the monitoring system, which is designed and developed in this paper, has met the due design demands.
