With the vigorous development of the electric power industry, the generator assembly machine capacity and the power grid capacity is also increasing. In this context, the security requirements of the power system is also getting higher and higher. In power system, the transformer is one of the most important and most expensive equipment, its running state is related to the operation safety of the whole power network. Fault of core and winding is the most frequent and serious fault, so it is very important to study the fault of transformer winding and core.At the present stage, the off-line method is used to detect the faults of the transformer windings and cores, this method needs the transformer to withdraw from the operation, and it is not easy to detect. And other online testing methods are not safe enough. Vibration method uses the sensor to collect the vibration signal of the oil tank surface, and then analyze the vibration signal to predict the operation state of the core and winding. This method is more secure, and can monitor the loosening of the parts. Therefore, On-line monitoring system for transformer vibration based on vibration method is a supplement to the traditional methods, there is a great research value.In this paper, the principle of transformer winding and core vibration is studied, and the method of reducing the vibration of winding and core is given. Then, it introduces the way of the vibration transmission of winding and core, and introduces the method of vibration monitoring. In order to monitor the running state of the transformer windings and core, we develop a set of o-line monitoring system for transformer vibration based on vibration method. This system can collect and analyze the vibration data of the transformer. Finally, based on the vibration method of transformer winding and core condition monitoring can be achieved.Using this system to monitoring and analyzing the vibration of the transformer. In this paper, different transformer vibration signals are compared and analyzed, and it is concluded that different types of transformers can’t be compared. Comparison and analysis of vibration signals in different locations of the same transformer. Analysis of the vibration signal of the transformer cooling system. Used on-load current method to extraction of the vibration characteristic signal of winding and core. Research on the vibration data of the transformer with DC magnetic biasing.
