The problem of steel performance development and the security assessment under the corrosion environment has being concerned extensively. In this paper, the author studies on the uncoated steel,its corrosion surface characters and the law of material performance. The research results in this paper coude provide important measures for the safety control and the maintenance of the steel structure engineering on service.This research mainly manifesties the following aspects:use five kinds of the indoor accelerated corrosion method (acidic soil salt, soil, acid salt atmosphere, atmosphere and heat cycle),the steel structure has the corrosion law under different environments and build the quantitative relationship between the steel corrosion rate and time.because of the random of the steel corrosion pits, the paper measures the outline of the rusty steel in the use of the Roughness Detector and develops the expression formulas of the pits on the surface of the rusty steel board in the use of the Fractal Theory. Trough the steel tensile tests and the experiment on the material performance, the paper also explores the effects of the extension of steel corrosion,the corrosive style,the yield strength,elongation and the ultimate strength of steel, and the paper develops the quantitative relationships among the extension of steel corrosion and the mechanical factors above.
