ABSTRACT:Most of our railway lines adopted the mode of mixed running basically. With the pace of the railway speed increase and high-speed trains run along the lines. The difference of the speed between passenger and freight trains has been gradually increased. It directly impacts of proportionality of train path layout and train working diagram structure. Heterogeneity reflected the diagram structure, diagram structure reflected capacity importantly. So it researched on section capacity calculation methods based on train heterogeneity. The capacity is rather insufficient, how to design reasonable train diagram to increase the carrying capacity is an urgent problem to solve.This paper defined an important index that heterogeneity of train working diagram firstly. It analyzed the adaptability of quantitative methods to heterogeneity. Proposed a method to calculate heterogeneity based on time difference coefficient and compact coefficient. According to calculate method, the paper analyzed the influencing factors about heterogeneity, including velocity difference, proportion difference, interval length, buffer time. It defined the train working diagram structure unit, proposed a method to design structure unit. It combined heterogeneity and section capacity though the train working diagram structure unit. Researched calculate method based on train working diagram structure. Based on the reasonable diagram structure unit, this method made train paths layout proportionality, low proportionality and maximum capacity.At last, this paper calculated'Yingtan-Xiangtang' railway section capacity with the method above. Researched train working diagram structure and the biggest capacity in the calculation. This paper analyzed impacts of train working diagram structure and section capacity.
