Finite element method is used more and more in warship structure assessment. But there is no unitive platform covering structure design and analysis to actualize automatic modeling in analysis software, which makes the fast assessment of ship structure capability can not be performed and furthermore, the cycle of the new ship type would be longer. So, it makes particle sense in creating a unitive platform covering structure design and analysis to make fast assessment of ship structure capability.The interface between 3D design software and CAE software is designed to make CAE model generated automatically from 3D design software. Based on the CAE software, a program including functions of load transfer, automatic loading, inertial force balance and result post-process is further developed, and then a unitive 3D platform covering structure design and analysis is built finally. Taking a warship as example, the whole process of model creating, model transfer, automatic loading, inertia balance and result post-process is completed based on this platform. Finally,the FE analysis is done by Sesam to supply procession and results reference to the followed job.
