The Design Of Metal Corrosion Testing Device

This thesis discussed the research status of the metal corrosion testing device home and abroad, analyzed the mechanism of electrochemistry corrosion and the theory of polarization curves. The performance principle of potentiostat, the circuit parts and design keys were described. The amplifier's function in potentiostat and applying provisions were considered, ICL7650 was used as the current testing unit for its advanced performance and low price. After the work fundamental and applying keys were noticed, the testing circuit with good precision and stability was designed , comprising the deep negative feedback, the voltage follower, the adder all by amplifiers also the high accuracy chips as AD586 and MC1403, etc. All the sections above maked up of potentiostat circuit of the metal corrosion testing device. Then, the advantage of singlechip controlled system was considered, compared with the shortcoming of the traditional waveform generator supplying the order to potentiostat, the microcomputer interface waveform generator with the adjustable step and frequency, the diverse signals could got cause of the software controlled wave.When the data acquisition system was drafted, the superiority of the popular USB technique was drawn the attention, giving the disadvantage of the backward data acquisition system.The USB interface chip PDIUSBD12 was used by the detailed analysis of its work fundamental and the key points in programme, the data acquisition hardware controlled by singlechip AT89C51 and the software for the communication with PC were completed, also the data acquisition programme on the basis of the MAX1247 Serial 12-Bit ADCs. And the human interface software was achieved in the windows of VC++, the Real-time data acquisition curves were attained. Finally, the test of the whole the metal corrosion measure system was implemented, the excellent performance was shown by the polarization curves of nickel.
