Abstract/Summary:
With the continuous development of the automobile industry, there is growing attention to the issue of automotive safety. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as an active safety device that can automatically adjust braking force to prevent the wheels locked, and ensure the lateral stability of the vehicle and steering control, at the same time reduce the distance to achieve the best results. As the car's speed Increasing today, it's application has become increasingly widespread. ABS control method is the core technology, which has an important practical significance to the Anti-lock Braking System research and the improvement of vehicle braking performance. The writer of this thesis first read a great deal of literature about ABS. In the basic of introducing the domestic and overseas situation and its basic principle and composition and layout, establish simulation model of the vehicle, including the double vehicle model, tire model and the brake system model. Then, study the PID control, sliding mode variable structure control, optimal control, fuzzy control, dissipation and power control and threshold logic control model , analyse the advantages and disadvantages in practical application.last ,choose the threshold control theory based on the slip rate and the wheel's acceleration for the control logic of this article.Use the artificial and computer methods to create the computer simulation models in the Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, including wheel model, tire model ,slip rate model, brake system model and controller module. Finally, in the two typical roads, actualize the simulation for having ABS and no ABS, then, having a detailed analysis of the factors that affect the ABS system based on the simulation results, and have the conclusion: Anti-lock braking system (ABS) can prevent the wheels locked during braking, effectively shortening the braking distance and braking time, but at the low-road the improve of the braking effect is more obvious than in the high-road. In addition, the performance of ABS is determined by multiple factors. So, in order to get the better ABS products, we must fully taken into account various factors.
