Study And Analysis On Urban Bicycle Traffic

The bicycle traffic always has been the most basic transportation way in our country, it is very important in the urban traffic system. In recent years, the vehicle development speed is speedily, and the existing transportation condition is unable to satisfy the mobile transportation demand of high speed growth, thus it causes a severely interfered and mixed traffic flow, and causes some traffic questions which existed very urgently awaits to be solved in the city. Consequently, the resolution of urban traffic problems hinges on successfully coping with urban bicycle traffic problems.This paper researches the urban bicycle traffic. Based on the bicycle traffic characteristic, this paper analyses the bicycle traffic demand in our country firstly, with a large number of data and the fact, it proves that the bicycle traffic is still the important transportation way in the urban traffic system, and it will exist a long time from now, so we must give it enough recognition.This paper's emphasis is the mixed traffic flow in the road section and the road intersection. In the road section, this paper analyses the characteristic of mixed traffic flow detailed, point out that the main reason of the traffic jam and accident is the mixed traffic flow of bicycle and vehicle, then it analyses the traveling capability and delay in the road section, and puts forward the computational method, at last, this paper suggests some management measures to the bicycle traffic in the road section. In the road intersection, this paper emphatically studies the movement rule and the transportation characteristic of the bicycle flow, then analyses the traveling capability and the service level in the intersection quantitatively, at last, this paper carries on the transportation optimization design to the signal road intersection, including the signal optimization and the transportation organization, proposes the concrete optimized plan and the management measure.
