At present, China's building of bridge is in a period of rapid development, at the same time, China's mission of the road and bridge's Maintenance and Management has become more and more heavier. Especially the roads and bridges built before the 80's in the 20th century, in the limit of the economic and technological conditions at that time, design loads are in the automotive-20 level. With the design life approaches, the rapid increase in heavy-duty traffic, lots of bridges rapid decline in the use of technology has been difficult to meet the actual traffic demand, it is eager to take measures to reinforce.The arch bridge ,as the Chinese traditional bridge-type, distributed all around of China, and has played an important role in the development history of China's transportation construction. However, with the use of a long time, a number of masonry arch bridge has become the old bridge and even have Dangerous disease by weathering Materials, overweight vehicles and natural disaster damage, and gradually has been unable to meet the growing traffic needs. And a lot of bridge's capacity can not meet the requirements because of the rapid increase in traffic. In order to improve the bridges' traffic capacity, make it apply to the conversion level after broaden the route of the highway,it is eager to wide the narrow and old bridges.This paper analyze the common diseases of arch bridges, and described the arch bridge's generation mechanism of disease in detail, and advised a variety of common reinforcement methods, and widening the bridge deck was aslo simulated. Because sets of arch reflect the great advantage of the Arch Bridge reinforcement method , this article simulation analysis the effection of improve the bearing capacity improvetof arch bridges.The research of Masonry Arch Bridge's reinforcement measures can guide the maintenance and conservation of current road and highway bridges have been built on, and provide a theoretical basis and technical support. It can aslo effectively reduce the arch disease, the conservation costs, and improve bridge force performance and durability, with a certain degree of social and economic significance.
