| Through investigating the issues of rural highway, especially the present situation of people, vehicles, roads, environment and management etc in Ningbo city, the road characteristics, user characteristics, vehicle characteristics and accident features of rural highway are analyzed. Through analysis of the impact of highway conditions in rural areas on traffic safety, with the basic requirements for safety design at home and abroad,this paper put forward the principles and technologies of China's rural highway safety design, including the technologies of preventing traffic accidents and avoiding or reducing traffic accident,which based on human-machine engineering safety design.According to the definition,classification of rural highway, this paper has put forward the main alignment design specifications of four grades based on design speed of 40 km/h, 30km/h, 20km/, 15km/h, and has investigated the flexible application range of main design specifications,including design speed, circular curve radius, maximum longitudinal slope and cross-section width and so on.By using and perfecting the judgement standards of safety hidden trouble highway section in" guideline for implementation of highway safety enhancemenfon sharp turn road, steep slope and big long longitudinal slope road, sharp turn combining steep slope road and so on.Through analysing the roadside safety situation of rural highway,combining the economic conditions of rural highway in Ningbo City,this paper provided the roadside safety design methods.adapting rural highway,accordance with the principle of initiative safety with passivity safety.According to analysing the present situation of grade crossing traffic safety for rural highway, this paper proposed safety design counter measures for grade crossing, involving geometry design, traffic control, traffic safety facilities,sight distance assurance,road joining control,highway and railway crossing and so on..Based on the analysis of sight distance types for rural highway,this paper has studied highway alignment factors making driver's sight distance deficient and has presented the judgement standards of sight distance deficience.On the basis of the safety problems for rural highway that passing villages,this paper has proposed some economic and effective safety design counter measures and requirements, such as road and people isolation, warning signs, setting deceleration facilities,sight distance improving and so on.In accordance with these safety problems,this paper has presented safety design methods on highway sections of condition changing,containing the sections of roadbed becoming narrow,broad road narrow bridge, bridges and culverts loads restricting, clearance discontinuous.and so on. |
