Large thickness cement stabilized macadam base road is the main structure of the grass-roots level in China. For a long time, constrained by the thickness used, the actual construction of multi-tiered approach to adopt, resulting in between layers of the prevalence of non-continuous state, making the assumption that the design of the plate into the actual use of force in the multi-thin-layer force affected the results. As the thickness and width of paver and roller tonnage appears, as a variable construction of layered construction of the thick layer of cement stabilized gravel has become a possibility. Studies of the compaction mechanism and the stability of gravel road performance of RCC exciting force for big thick layer of cement, will great theoretical and practical significance give the promotion of such structure and use.Excitation through the indoor test and tester, Hebei, Zhejiang and Henan provinces thick cement stabilized crushed stone test section of core sample analysis, its physical parameters, cementitious materials and aggregates, such as compaction characteristics of the study revealed a thick layer of cement stabilized gravel compaction mechanism, and the first time with the concept of crack resistance. On this basis, to carry out a thick layer of cement stabilized gravel performance study results indicate that the stability of ordinary cement and gravel compared to the structure as a result of the grass-roots level to improve the overall performance of the thick layer of cement stabilized gravel mechanical, anti-bifida, and other durable pavement performance has markedly improved.With study of compaction characteristics and the test of overall performance on the thick layer cement stabilized gravel, indoor test tank for testing, recommended a thick layer of cement stabilized gravel compaction testing processes, and ultimately paved relevant experiments in Zhejiang Long-Lili-Long Expressway.
