| China is the world's largest rural country. Rural settlements are not only the source of Chinese civilization, but also the carrier of traditional culture. However, the impact of the wave of urbanization, the rural settlements and their culture is the bearer has been badly hit. The foundation of rural development is impaired by the losses of a large number of traditional villages and the destruction of villages form.It was against this background, the paper discusses the impact of natural environment, land system, the concept of Feng Shui, Patriarchal System, traditional customs, habits on the village settlements'pattern, what on the basis of sorting the rural settlement form and culture results at home and abroad. Based on the complexity of current multi-cultural patterns affection on village settlements, the author introduces a theory of Meme, and focus on analyzing rural form and formation mechanism of village by use of the theory, then put forwards villages form planning and village conservation and update strategy based on genetic inheritance and development.Paper selects three villages cases on behalf of Wu culture, the traditional native village of Lu Xiang, the integrated transformed village of Lin Wu and modern ecological village of Cheng Dun, respectively screening and refining the culture gene of these villages, and advances specific content and main technical requirements of strengthen culture gene in planning and construction, making an empirical study of earlier writings. |
