Which embody the concept of urban development and urban spirit and is the carrier of urban culture and geographical characterization .Urban's image as a fundamental driving force for urban development, which can produce Internal driving forces and able to generate external attractive. In the context of globalization and rapid urbanization process,most cities in China have got the convergence of urban image or lack of urban personality and characteristics due to the neglect of local culture, or not pay enough attention to it. As a historical and cultural city and has a profound culture of Suzhou, is also facing the same problem.In this paper, through theoretical analysis and example of combination of the concept of regional culture in the city's image under the study design. On the basis of the analysis of regional culture and urban design of the basic theory and research internal and abroad , summed up the relationship between the image of regional culture and urban design , Put forward new strategy, new ideas and new methods under the perspective of regional Culture .
