Car dumper is a kind of large-scale high efficient unloading equipment that can overturn the supplies mechanically. It is used to handle bulk materials of train. It is also widely used in many fields related with coal, such as harbors, mines, thermal power stations, smelting plants and cement works. Since the car dumper system can not compatible adjustment automatically along with the load change, that is to say. it will influences life of equipments and their efficiency. And to build a whole car dumper system is very expensive and will take long construction cycle. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an optimization design of the system.Technics of car pusher and location vehicle in dumper system arc analyzed. Increasing load will input into human-machine interface, and when the load of car pusher and location vehicle change, Profibus Bus-mastering will control DC-master system and adjust the rise and fall time in real time. The slope time will rise when heavy load. When initiation and stopping, the operating slowly down to protect the equipment. The period of batching cycle will shorten to improve the efficiency of system when under loading. Under the adverse circumstance, the examination and execution signal of equipment will be transmitted by AS-I Bus, which is greatly reduce the system failure. Using AS-I and SSI Bus testing to examine entrance and export turn-over angle of the car dumper system uses examination, so the equipment becomes much more safe and reliable.Since the car dumper system optimization of Qinhuangdao port, the system performance became more stable and the failure rate decrease. Associated control of Profibus Bus and AS-I Bus is more flexible. At the same time, the exchange of information is faster, the data quantity is large, and convenient to overhaul. Using the ABB DC-master equipment, the movement of transmission-part is more reliable, the precision of system is enhanced greatly. After the car dumper was optimize, the efficiency of the system is greatly enhanced, and unloading ability is markedly enhanced from 10,000,000 tons p.a. to 15,000,000 tons p.a..The car dumper optimizing method can maximum reduce waiting time, guarantee technical reliability, and reduce the debugging time. These advantages will minimally decrease the influence of system on the production. Moreover, it keeps the primary mechanical structure, and only optimizes the key electrical link, which greatly save the cost, and enhance efficiency to maximum. This will provide a theory basis for car dumper system design for the future.
