| Accompanied by the shape of China's expressway network, how to design the service facilities along the expressway has become a very important and urgent problem. The expressway service area, as the most complete functional region in service facilities along the expressway, provide services for the passing vehicles, the drivers and attendants and visitors like filling, repairing, shopping, dining, rest and other services. Therefore, the studies on designing of the expressway service area are very necessary.Because of a variety of subjective and objective reasons, the overall layout, planning and architectural design of the expressway service area didn't keep up with the demand of the expressway network's development and the people's growing material and cultural requirements. At present, the research on the design of expressway service area in our country just remained in the qualitative analysis and lacked the theoretical basis and practical guidance. By comparing the domestic and international development of the expressway service area, analyzing the pros and cons, actively studying the advantages of foreign design, we hoped to find the most favorable solutions to these issues.This paper analyzed and studied the expressway service area's overall layout, Planning and architectural design in Anhui province exactly , and summarized the data which obtained through the field research. Finally, combined with theoretical knowledge, the paper studied on the representative design example of the expressway service area in Anhui province to deepen the reader's awareness and understanding of the paper's design theory about the service area and provide them some valuable information and data. I hope that the paper could help the relevant architects design evidence-based in subsequent design process, and make them understand the research directions of service design clearly. |
