Because of the special geographical characteristics in the western mountain road construction, it is often necessary to excavate of road cutting in a complex geological environment, including high and steep slope. The security risk status of the high slope in the construction and using has a significant impact on the project construction effect and safe using. Because of the complexity of many risk factors in the formation and the impact of highway slope stability, in theory, there is lack of effective system for multi-factor risk analysis and evaluation theory. Therefore, exploring and researching inevitable existence of high slope and the risk in mountain road construction are the reality of mountain highway construction needs in our country. The establishment and improvement of the theory of the safety risk prediction and evaluation of high slope not only has important theoretical significance, but also has great practical significance to optimize the highway construction program, enhance slope engineering measures and the use of the scientific nature of security and so on.For the existing problems of security risk analysis and evaluation at home and abroad, this paper treats the high slope in highway engineering as the target. Taking the analysis of high slopes' disaster risk factors and trying to set up many factors, objectively evaluate the security and stability risk of high slope. First of all, the author basing on the risk analysis theory identifying the highway slope engineering risk factors. Secondly, setting up the analytic hierarch process (AHP) model of slope to assess the risk factors. Then suggesting the idea that putting quantitative analysis methods and non-deterministic analysis methods together generally evaluating of high slope stability. Followed by the use of finite element method (FEM) calculate the security and stability of high slope, setting up the artificial neural network (ANN) model for predicting the high slope safety and stability. Finally, this paper based on the research, using the model analyze the high slope safety risk problem on the Yu Ba road in the Yun Yang territory of Baishuitan to Nanxi. The paper is completed with the combination of horizontal thesis research, "Yu Ba road in the Yun Yang territory of Baishuitan to Nanxi high slope stability study ".
