Research On The Rehabilitation And Renovation Of The Historic District Around Yueyang Tower Area In The Context Of Tourism Development

With the development of society, tourism industry has already become the pillar industry in many countries. An increasing number of countries and cities began to make use of historical relics and historical blocks to develop tourism industry. Through the study of surrounding area of Yueyang Tower, this paper hopes to discuss how to renew this area in order to promote the development of tourism industry in the case of protecting and utilizing historical relics and how to coordinate and solve contradiction between tourism development and protecting of historical sites and old buildings, trying to offer some suggestions for other relevant cases from the site planning to the rehabilitation and renovation of old buildings and then the process of implementation.The main body of this paper includes four chapters:Chapter 1 Introduction. Through the origin of studying, background, research subjects, purpose and significance, the study identified the contents of papers, methods and basic framework.Chapter 2 Relevant theory and case study. Sum up the international and the domestic theories of protecting and utilizing the historical and cultural heritage and urban renewal and tourism planning. Analyze and compare several current development models.Chapter 3 Analysis of current situation. Particular analysis of physical geography, historical evolution, space overall arrangement, traffic system and auxiliary facilities in the historic district of Yueyang Tower Area. Point out it does not meet requirements of modern tourism industry development on the basis of summarizing new demands for development of tourism industry.Chapter 4 Discussion of rehabilitation strategies. This chapter is the core content of this paper. First of all, according to the principle of tourism planning, analyze the historical value of this site, excavate its inherent tourist resources, carry on the preliminary localization, and divide different function blocks. Secondly, according to different characteristics of the block, exploring suitable renewal models of its old buildings; putting forward the concrete measures of the renewal of the existing road system and urban landscape nodes and other auxiliary facilities; applying progressive organic renewal theory to the renewal of the entire block .Finally, recommend to strengthen the he government's direction and public participation.Chapter 5 Cases retrospect. Describe the two renewal design plans of peripheral area of scenic spot of Yueyang Tower and summarize relevant experie nce and cause thinking.
