Along with rapid development of social economy and modern tourism, some districts are driven by short-term benefit, which ignore dignity of historical culture carry out large-scaled exploitation and utilization on tourism with high strength by all means in order to satisfy requirement of economic development, causing the gradual degeneration of historic culture and value as well as inhabitation function. The immigration of inhabitant outside and in results leads to change of social structure of districts as well as loss of traditional living characteristics and different social contradictions. How to keep a certain ratio of aborigines and their living styles, protect their living locations as well as traditional culture, continue resident function of districts, maintain improvement to material living conditions and social structure, and effectively protect authenticity concept of historical districts during tourism development is a subject that this thesis pays attention to.At first, this thesis completely explains the concept of living authenticity, gives a definition of historical district as well as its characteristics, and outline an essential judging system for living authenticity; and then, analyze mutual influence between development of historical districts and maintenance of living authenticity, suggesting setting up a new-type cooperative relationship of sustainable development for both of them; finally, based on analysis for tourism development of historical districts and protection of living authenticity, propose a correct and reasonable protecting conception, discuss feasible protection countermeasure and establish protecting mechanism of effective support.
