Study On Plant Landscape In The New Campus Of Universities In Xi'an

At the turn of the century,with the rapid development of China's higher education, especially the enlargement of enrollment,a new round of upsurge in construction is seen in many universities.This objectively promoted the improvement of campus environment.In recent years,many new campuses have been built in Xi'an as in other cities in China.During this process of building new campuses with modern characteristics,more and more attention is paid to the design of plant landscape. However,many problems have been revealed along with the use of plants to improve the environment of new campuses:lack of integrated ecological design concept,lack of significant geographical characteristics,lack of School own characteristics,lack of concern for humanity and so on.Therefore,the study on the new campus of universities in Xi'an University is of great practical significance.Based on environmental ecology, behavior psychology and environmental psychology,this paper takes the new campuses of universities in Xi'an as main research objects.Taking into consideration of the features and historical culture of universities as well as the psychological requirements and behavior characteristics of teaching faculties and students,this paper makes an analysis of the factors concerning the plant landscape,such as natural factors,human factors and social factors and puts forward a series of basic principles:they should be people-oriented,macro-ecological respecting the campus context and concerning dynamic aesthetics;they should follow the principles of artistry and scientificity, integrity and diversity,individuality and regionalization,identification and civilization, interest and safety,participation and predication,based on the analysis and generalization of plant landscape of the new campuses in some of universities in Xi'an, the paper makes a research of the existing problems and presents related opinions. Through the analysis,this paper aims to provide theoretical basis for the provision of a green environment as well as methods for the long-term development of landscape plants in new campuses of universities.
