In recent years, in order to improve vehicle ride comfort, safety and handling stability, a variety of electronic control technology and control systems are widely used in car. However, these control systems are designed on the base of one system, while ignored the interference between those systems. If such a control system simply add up into the car, it may affect the performance of control systems, general performance of the vehicle it is dependent on improve the coordination of the every subsystems. Therefore, integrated control of chassis is becoming a hot area of vehicle engineering research. In order to study the performance of integrated chassis control system, On the base of the study on the vehicle's integrated chassis control system, the following works have been done: 1,the whole car model was build by the use of ADAMS/Car, and analysis of vehicle braking performance and ride comfort, this made a foundation for the following study; 2,respectively, installed anti-lock brake system(ABS) and active suspension system(ASS) upon the whole car model, designed the PID controller by the use of MATLAB/Simulink, then made the co-simulation by the use of ADAMS/Car and MATLAB/Simulink, and analyzed the vehicle braking performance and ride comfort improvements controlled by ABS only and ASS only; 3,Simply installed ABS and ASS upon the whole car model, made the co-simulation and analyzed the vehicle braking performance and ride comfort, then found that vehicle braking performance and ride comfort was bad than the performances controlled by ABS only and ASS only; 4,installed ABS and ASS by the way of integrated and coordinated control upon the whole car model, made the co-simulation and analyzed the results, found that the vehicle's general performances of braking and ride comfort were improved. It can be proved that the use of integrated chassis control system, be able to effectively co-ordinate the work of chassis systems, which can effectively improve vehicle performance.
