The study and application of Wide Area Measurement System(WAMS) which base on Synchronized Phasor Measurement Unit(PMU) is a foreland subject in power system, it is very important to improve the level of power system stability and security.As the basic unit of WAMS,PMU measures the phase parameters of power system that can reveal the dynamic characteristics and provide a foundation for the study power system stability or collapse valuing or forecasting and control schemes.This paper analyzed the functions PMU should owns and divided the function into lots of individual parts.The algorithms about the all the parts including the measurements of the bus voltage and the power angle are discussed.The thesis introduces the methods commonly used for such kind of measurements.At Last,this paper gives the methods of program based on embedded linux and phasor data concentrator based on both TCP protocol and UDP protocol.
