Automobile headlamp is the main light source on the vehicles, its role is to ensure that driving at night to illuminate the road ahead. In the long-term use process, the attrition of the gradual aging of the bulbs, the pollution of the external environment may cause the automobile headlamp's luminous intensity reduction; At the same time, the vehicle is vibrated during the moving, and may lead to the installation location of the normal headlamp changed, thus changing the correct direction of illumination. In order to ensure the safety of nighttime driving, the headlamp luminous intensity and the direction of illumination must comply with the relevant provisions of national standards. To this end, GB7258-2004 provision for all motor vehicles must acceptance test and periodical inspection of the headlamps.Generally, we use the vehicle headlamps detector to measure the optical axis irradiation position of the automotive headlamp on the vehicle inspection and test line, in order to obtain accurate measurements, we have to require the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle body to vertical the headlamp detector's horizontal slide way. However, in actual testing, it is very difficult to put the car in a correct place, more or less, will have some deviation. On the part of technological capability at present, the headlamp detector can't perceive the tested automobile's parking place, and can't auto-separate the errors caused by the parking car in a correct place. If we can't detect the size and direction of deviation, the deviation will be superimposed to the detection results.In order to deal with the practical problems of the vehicle body can't be put in a correct place during the vehicle headlamp testing; this paper conducted a study in following aspects:1.Analysis of the existing automobile headlamp testing method and deviceFirst, the paper introduced several kinds of the vehicle headlamp detectors on the vehicle inspection and test line, and analyzed the its detection principle. At the same time, it illustrated some problems during the detection, and had the result of the vehicle body deflection's influence. Show the importance of longitudinal centerline of the vehicle body vertical the headlamp detector's photoreceptors, leads to the significance of this paper. 2.The theoretical research of the hanging device and its drive mechanism To study the hanging device and its drive mechanism,sensor mechanism of the hanging vehicle headlamp detector, and established the mechanical model of its own, provided design theoretical foundation of the hanging device.3.The main functions and features of the hanging vehicle headlamp detector(1) The detector uses the hanging mechanism to move on the rail, can be applied to different wheelbase of testing vehicles. It reduced the car parking's installation, it can save the building costs of the test line.(2) The detector has solved the problem that we can't put the car in a correct place when we don't have the car parking, and improve the accuracy of the automobile headlamp detecting.(3) The detector can be used to detect side-by on the left or right headlamps, and bilateral headlamps at the same time, in terms of cost and efficiency to meet the different needs.(4) This detector can be installed based on the existing line, and we don't need to change the layout of the original testing equipment.4.The paper illustrated the errors from the hanging device's deformation of the hanging vehicle headlamp detector, and calculated and analyzed the error. Through the application of MATLAB simulation software, we can get the error term of any point in the coordinate system in the light boxes. To simulate the actual movement of the curve of light boxes, carry out a comparative analysis of the theory movement curves and proposed a specific method of error compensation.Overview, this paper studied the issue that the vehicle body can't put itself in a correct place automatically when detect the vehicle headlamp. By analyzing, proposed the method, at the same time, based on the principle of hanging-style bar, the application of Solidworks software to design a set of hanging vehicle headlamp detectors which applicable to the different wheelbase of vehicles, solved the problem that the vehicle body always deviated during the vehicle headlamp testing theoretically.
