Study On Eco-Village Theory And Its Application Strategy In China

As a result of worsen eco-environment, exhausted resources, big-growing population, over-expanded urban land use, the construction of sustainable community came into human's vision. It was aware that sharing the resources and adopting traditional neighbourhood living pattern is the effective way to resolve all these contradictions. In 1990s, a new kind of living form:"eco-village"came up in Europe and United States. It emphasized the idea of whole system design, it was a living & design mode that integrated resources, economy and society.In recent years, eco-village developed well in all countries, its development was not limited in several developed nations, but in the developing countries. It came forth some excellent examples that worthing all other nations to use for reference.Research and practice in China mainly centralized in the construction of new socialism village, till now, it had produced initial results. As a universal application concept, eco-village got a wider significance to be extended. Therefore, the dissertation is based on the comparison of different kinds of eco-villages in all nations. Aiming at the unique background and regional development in our country, bring forward the future practice strategy in China.On the base of reviewing the eco-villge research in and abroad, the dissertation provides the significance & methods. At the background of sustainable development, combined the archetype view with eco-village theory. Through the clearance of concepts according to eco-village, sorted out the basic characters and design frame. Analysising construction strategies of Chinese eco-villages based on the unique resources, materials and climate. Through the comparison of foreign & Chinese eco-vallages, summed up the experiences and defects of their development. Finally, discussed about the application strategy of eco-village theory in China.
