Switched Reluctance Drive (SRD) is composed of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM), controller, power converter, position detector and current detector. The SRD has potential due to its advantages. In this paper, the one controller drive two SRMs control system was researched which used in electric traction motor system.The two SRMs system has the advantages in arranging the space of placing the motors rationally and improving the tractive properties of the drive with composition of the two motors.In the designing of hardware about one-drive-two SRD system, we used DSP TMS320F2407 as the controlling chip and two SRMs (500W) as controlled objects. The designing of control system was speeding up because that DSP has rich periphery circuit and formidable computation function. Therefore, we can use one DSP to control two SRMs. The power converter is based on"lest switch structure". And is composed of Intelligent Power Module (IPM) which has highly integration, good performance and flexible control. The IPM makes switch components and drive circuits in one chip, and it also has many protective functions. So it makes the whole design more steady and more succinct.Considering the request of Electric Vehicles, the control methods for SRD system are given; The controller produces the on and of and PWM signal of each phase. Combined with protecting signal and current chopping signal, it can control the IGBT on and off. The control strategy which is composed of double closed loop and power balance regulation is adopted in this system to achieve synchronization operation of double rigid connection SRM.We implemented the embedded systemμC/OS-II to design the whole software system . It makes program has better versatility and better readability.At last, according to the experiment w ith the SRD system, the running data and curves is presented and the characteristics of SRD is given out.
