| The Switched Reluctance Drive Systems posses many inherent advantages of adjustable-speed drive, it attracts more and more attention and shows competition in commercial applications. In this thesis the 3KW 4-phase switched reluctance motor control system is designed based on DSP.The thesis contains five chapters. In the first chapter, it offers the system survey of SRD, including developing process and trend. The operational principle, structure and characteristics of SRM are also cited. The second chapter describes the design and produce of power converter. The characteristics of various kinds of power circuit are discussed. The H-type power converter is analyzed in detail. A new type power transistor (IPM) has been chosen to the power switch for simplified the frame of the converter. The third chapter offers SRD control system design of hardware and software based on TI's DSP. The fourth chapter discusses the principle and the control method of regenerative braking, then an example of the design for a 3KW switched reluctance motor' regenerative braking is described. Some inevitable questions during the regenerative braking such as the rotor-position measure, optimized control and system protection were solved. This is instructive to reduce the cost and improve the cost performance and broaden the application field of the switchedprinciple of indirect position sensor is presented, a method including an experiment method using DSP to measure magnetic linkage adapted to low power SRM are recommended, an indirect position sensor design for 3KW SRD is detailed to prove the feasibility of the recommended method.
