Analysis Of Causes Of Cracks In The Ancient City Wall Of Pingyao And The Restoring Measures

Cracking is a synthesis civil engineering problem. According to the investigate of zhongye,zongzhuang and author, Cracking is also a common problem of ancient city wall of pingyao .There are large numbers of cracks found both in soil and masonry structure of the wall.How to deal with the cracks and how to prevent new crack occurrence is key work of renovating of the wall. In order to use the appropriate measures, first we research and analysis the causes of cracks. Considering the structure characteristic of the wall, in this paper, the wall are divide into 2 parts to research : one is soil structure part ,the other is masonry structure . the author have research both part's cracks and their causes. To some kind of masonry structure cracks result from loads, the author have create finite compute mode, processing finite element analysis , to figure out in what conditions cracking are occur in the structure. In the last chapter of this paper, author introduce preventing measure of cracks at the home and abroad , the requirements and principles should obey when dealing with cracks, and limit about the cracks need or not need to be deal with.
