For the sake of saving plowland and protecting land resource further, Country made a series of policy on wall innovation to limit the utilication of clay bricks and popularized a series of new wall materials. But while in the process of generalization, cracks occour at large not only in muti-floor bearing block building but also in infilled wall of frames. Whereas the formation of cracks between wall and beam (colume) will reduce the integration, durability and earthquake resistance of wall, which will affact the using function of buildings. In particular, as innovation of wall matieral and houce merchandizing progresses, people make more request on living entironment and building quality, such as bringing the cracks of wall under control. So it has attacted more attention of engineering, department of country executive administrations and the estate developer to enhance the cracking research on infilled wall, especially on new material wall.In this paper, such work was finished as follow in term of live investigation(concluding cracks'shape and location ), questing for theoretics method (conforming solution method ), finite element analysis(analysing developing of cracks ), results comparison between finite element analysis and investigation (conforming the feasibility of finite element analysis ).Firstly, cracking investigation was done in some teaching buidings of Nanjing Univercity of Technology. The shape and distribution of cracks was concluded and the main reason of these cracks was brought forword according to existing experience.On the finite element analysis stage, horizontal force was location on the beam of frame instead of temperature force firstly. Similar method was used by Zhejiang University on experimental research of temperature cracks on masonry wall.Considering above weight of block wall at the same time, comparison of side-displacement-resistant among 5 models, which have difference in formation, was done. Cracking-resistance of each model was obtained indirectly though comparing variety of side–displacement, loading-displacement curve, stiffness degeneration curve.Temperature load was applied on 5 models of different formation, considering temperature and shrinkage effeect at the same time.
