Design And Research Of Station Square On Railway Passenger Station

With the accelerated process of urbanization and urban constantly updated, the terminal renovation and construction of station square on railway passenger station has become the focus of widespread attention. As the integration of the railway passenger station and city traffic, station square is the convergence of different modes of transport, the concourse in which passengers distribute and transfer. It acts an important function as the convergence of different mode of transportation to ensure that the residents can travel smoothly for transit and transfer, also ensure the converging and dispersing system of railway passenger terminal passenger traffic distribution system can work efficiently. The design of station square involves a very wide-ranging, this research will focus on the layout mode, the scope design, and the simulation based on VISSIM.This research discusses the nature and composition of station square firstly, studies the layout mode of the railway station square, and brings forward the planning and design processes and ideas; then analyzes the scale from the flow and the area, and puts forward a quantitative model. By discussing the design requirements and the issues which is need to study, the research summarizes the traffic facilities design and the methods of the environmental facilities design. The analyses of the traffic facilities design include the design of the traffic function and the integration of traffic flow. Through Chongqing North Station as an example, the research analyzes the integration of all functional areas; further explores the feasibility of the simulation study which applications the VISSIM model .At last, the research carries a case study which takes the Xi'an North Railway Station as an example.
