With the rapid development of infrared focal plane array(IRFPA), especially uncooled IRFPA, in recent twenty years, infrared imaging technology is to be more and more widely used in many civil areas, for instance safety protection, vehicle, aerocraft and ship Night Vision, aerospace detection, Satellite or airborne Remote Sensing of Earth's surface, Environmental Pollution Monitoring, industry thermometer, police fire protection,etc. until 2000 years, average annual growth rate had reached 20%.to facilitate understanding and learning infrared imaging technology, to design a set of open Infrared Imaging System is of vital realistic significance and value.Infrared images are created by temperature difference between targets and their background. Great bright background and low contrast are the primary characteristics of infrared images. These result the lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of images. So reducing the noise and enhancing contrast are the two vital important technology in infrared image processing.In this topic, based on analyzing the characteristic of infrared image histogram, propose histogram Enhancement Algorithm. Based on the analysis to the noise forming mechanism and their characteristics included that infrared image noise mostly are Gaussian white noise and pepper and salt noise. To eliminate noise interference efficiently, i designed various mean filters, Order Sequencing Statistical Filters and Gauss low pass filter, shown the effect picture.For objectively evaluating the performance of these algorithm, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), root mean square error (RMSE) and the simulation run-time were used as an evaluation index, compared the various algorithms' performance at the different types of noise and different level of noise. In addition, to stress details or enhance fuzzy details, I realized Shock Filtering Algorithm. In order to meet the needs of portable system, some practical algorithms were provided, for example, the display of image histogram, image geometry transform and Binary, etc.Image data output is another subject in this topic. We output image data by USB interface and MMC/SD card. To program, I used the Chip Support Library, it not only shorted the time of developing and improves the developing efficiency, but also enhance the transplantation of program.
