Fiber-reinforced chip seal which is a new preventive maintenance method in china that a thin abrasiceness layer consisting of emulsified bitumen and glass fiber sprinkled by special equipment at the same time and the aggregate sprinkled on the existing road is formed by press of glue wheel road roller and automobiles. And the fiber-reinforced chip seal is able to heal block cracking and increase the performance of waterproof and have better cost efficiency. At the present time the way of the material buildup and constrction quality control about fiber-reinforced chip seal is experiential method. The purposes of this paper are to study the influence factors of interlayer bonding, tensile stress and construction technique parameter for popularizing the application of fiber-reinforced chip seal.The increasing trend is checked which is about interlayer drawing strength of trial road for the fiber-reinforced chip seal by tensile gauge. The degree of press, instrument and method of formation are determined that is to simulate the molding of fiber-reinforced chip seal through current traffic. The results demonstrate the value of the drawing strength is increasing nonlinearly quickly during the early time of construction which, after which the value is increasing slowly and adds up to the peak value.The molding specimen of fiber-reinforced chip seal using track molding instrument is checked by shearing and drawing test which analyses the influence of the dosage of emulsified bitumen and glass fiber, the styles of crack and raveled surfaces for interlayer bonding strength. The results indicate the shearing strength is losing at a rate with the increasing dosage of emulsified bitumen and glass fiber, and the influence that the map cracking is impacting on bonding strength is most serious among the styles of crack in the same crack width, and comparing to normal pavement, though the raveled surfaces make the shearing strength smaller.The tensile strength of fiber-reinforced chip seal band is checked by the tensile test which analyses the influence of the dosage of emulsified bitumen and glass fiber and fiber length. The results show that the tensile stress is increasing at a rate with the increasing dosage of glass fiber and length of glass fiber, and lengthening properly the length of glass fiber may make the tensile strength increasing. This paper also reports the technique parameter of emulsified bitumen and glass fiber and the fiber length in construction by mechanics test which are happening to the interlayer bonding and the band for the fiber-reinforced chip seal.
