Aerospace relay is one of the most accessories in various deep exploring aero craft. Arc will happen when the relay contacts break or close, which can make the contact working condition bad and influence the working life and reliability of aerospace relay badly. Therefore, it is important to do some research on the arc characteristic of aerospace relay for improving its working life and reliability.Arc phenomenon is a tradition problem. Researchers in our country and abroad have done much work on it. However, most of their work are from macroscopic point, while few is from microscopic point. In this paper, aimd at the arc phenomenon of aerospace relay and from microscopic point, based on the basic theory of transport properties, simplified the distributing function and the collision term of the Boltzmann function, combined the definition of transport coefficients and Boltzmann function, simplified calculation formulas of transport coefficients are derived, then simplify the calculation in mixtures by Mixture Rules. By this calculation method, the transport coefficients in nitrogen is calculated with different pressures or metal vapor proportions, as well as in pure metal vapor with different pressures. The result indicates that the influences of these factors to transport properties are well-regulated. The conclusions in this paper do basic work for the further research of transport properties and macro properties of the arc in aerospace relay.
