Research On GPRS In Embedded Meter Reading And Monitoring System

With the development of Information Technology and Digital Technology in recent years, especially with the large requirement of Internet and multimedia communication, the most fascinating technologies are focused on wide and communication network and mobile communication in the field of communication technology. GPRS connect wide band(e.g.applied Internet) with wireless communication network, so GPRS can be wide applied in Internet remote mobile management and remote control.Embedded System is a kind of computer system which is based on compuer technology and application.The software and hardware of Embedded System can be cut out unrestricted in order to accommodate the requirements of users.These requirements include dependability,cost,volume and power wastage and so on.It' s been a hotspot to use real time operating system(RTOS) in the application and empolder of Embedded System.The design of remote terminal unit in the remote meter reading system and automatic supervise and control system based on GPRS technology which is introduced in the paper,make use ofμC/OS-II system.This system simply introduced the constitutes,functions and specialties of the remote meter reading system and automatic supervise and control system based on GPRS technology and real time embedded operating system. The emphases of the paper is the naturalization ofμC/OS-II and the device of terminal unit.Firstly, status and development prospects of wireless remote meter reading and monitoring system is summarized; GPRS technology andμC/OS-II embedded operating system are introduced this paper; And then the system (GPRS applied in data transfer of wireless remote monitoring system)is designed,system functions and capabilities are also designed. At last,the design of hardware and software of the system is introduced in detail, and the research of anti-jamming on software and hardware is also introduced. The local running outcome and peculiarities of the remote meter reading system and automatic supervise and control system based on GPRS technology and real time embedded operating system is greatly perfection. All of this is evidence that it's advisable to useμC/OS-II in power system.
