With the development of wind power technology, the modern wind farms have become bigger a possibly have had many kinds of wind turbines. Normally these imported wind turbines from different companies have their own remote monitoring system, but these remote monitoring systems cannot be compatible which will give rise to big problems to the management of wind farm. The old SCADA system basing on the Client/Server structure has some shortcomings which need to write complex interface and a great deal of code. And also in the old SCADA system, the stability of interface is worse. The monitoring system of traditional style therefore cannot match the accumulating need of wind farms. So it is necessary for developing SCADA system basing on Web which not only is supervisory system but also can supply data for other management system.The kernel content of the SCADA system based on B/S structure is discussed detailed, and provide, on this foundation and corresponding design principle, a software structure and elementary implementation of the system.There are five modules being transferred in SCADA system basing on Web, which is data read-write module, alarm module, control module, security module management module and HMI module.The task of data read-write module is changing data with data collection module including reading real-time data and history data coming from analog variable and switch variable, sending control order for equipment, receiving alarm information from data collection module. Alarm module mainly responded for alarm information such as saving alarm information, search alarm information, looking back accident. Control module is used to sending controlling order for equipment and stakeout performing of order. Security module checks up validity and operation purview of client.As core of system, HMI module realize operating interface by client. Furthermore, all equipments being controlled are showed by graphics in this module and data is refurbished according with locale circumstance.With development of science, more and more new technologies joining the SCADA system, which widely expand the using field of system. This paper only shows SCADA system basing on Web is very important in electric industry. We also believe the system will bring more great help for other industry with expanding applications.
