With the rapid development of science and technology and the deepening of energy crisis, people pay more and more attention to find new sources of energy. Photovoltaic (pv) due to its advantages have been widely used. As the mass emergence of photovolt-aic power station, the monitoring equipment matched are also gradually improve. People have not only satisfied with observing various of real-time data on the spot, but hope to manage power plant more scientifically and intelligently.Power plant is different from the traditional and conventional energy sources as a kind of new energy, because of the intermittent fluctuations of generated power,become one of the bottleneck of the grid. How to ensure safety under the condition of maximum eliminate the influence of power fluctuation brings to the grid has become a hot spot of research.How to combine the power forecast and the management of the power station monitoring together organically is a focus in the study of this article.This paper first introduces the research status of photovoltaic power station monitor-ing system,and discusses the importance of power prediction as the organic composite-on of photovoltaic power station monitoring. Combining with the actual situation,design detailedly for the overall framework and function.Secondly, considering the inconvenience of photovoltaic power station wiring,we ch-oose the WiFi and GPRS wireless communication module for data transmission, narrate the communication process in detail. Through the comparison of TCP and UDP agreem-ent, An communication protocol was proposed to solve data packet loss and real-time problem existing in the communication process.Once more, using grey correlation method to search for the date which has higher similarity to under test date in the historical data, After training by BP neural network,obtain generated power of the date of the forecast. By comparing with the traditional algorithm and physics, scope of application of the algorithm are obtained.Lastly, using C++ builder 6.0 build the power station local monitoring, performed at the request of the scientific management of power plant.
