In our country, various expressway diseases of semi-rigid base had great relationship with poor felting capability. By researching the Exposed-Aggregate Cement Stable grain Base, the strength and reliability of the felting capability between pavement structures were improved. It had great value in improving the ability of resistenting horizontal shear in expressway, prolonging the life of expressway, improving superhighway service level. First, Exposing-Aggregate on base surface was done by laboratory test. Then the Exposing-Aggregate depth was selected as the counted unit to further research Surface Characteristics, pavement performance and interlayer force condition. The properties were comprehensively considered to recommend the best dose of the Exposing-Aggregate additive and Exposing-Aggregate depth. This paper made comprehensive analysis on the properties of Exposed-Aggregate Cement Stable grain Base by laboratory test. The test selected Exposing-Aggregate additive C as the best additive. The results showed that the Exposing-Aggregate depth was increased with increase of additive dose, and the Exposing-Aggregate depth was basically between 2.5mm and 3.5mm. Various Pavement Performance indexes had different change after Exposing-Aggregate, but Pavement Performance of base can't be affected by using reasonable additive dose. By mechanical analysis and horizontal shear test, it was proved that Exposed-Aggregate Cement Stable grain Base obviously improved interlaminar bonding condition. It had great development prospect in actual engineering to use Exposed-Aggregate Cement Stable grain Base.Integrating research results of this paper, we selected Exposing-Aggregate additive C as the best additive to Exposed-Aggregate Cement Stable grain Base, the best dose of the Exposing-Aggregate additive was 10%, and the best Exposing-Aggregate depth was 3mm.
