It is a new task for traffic modes configuration between Mega-City and Satellite City (TMCMS) in the progress of urbanization. Implement the building of transportation infrastructure effectively after scientific decision-making that is the basic condition to suffice the traffic demand between Mega-City and Satellite City and to make the area of Mega-City to develop continually.The paper sums up the composition and classification of TMCMS by analyzing the typical TMCMS of the world, puts forward the influencing factors of and finds out the experiences for reference. The paper constructs a boundary model to identify the attractive area of the corridor by studying the theory of transportation corridor; Aiming at the differences between urban trip and country trip, the paper puts forward the method to divide the traffic zone; it also establishes the'route-mode'integrated participation model. The paper puts forward the general approach and concrete steps of TMCMS from analyzing the goals of TMCMS; Establishes the decision-making model based on economic theory and higher benefit cost for different objects, introducing the theory of entropy to modify the decision maker's subjective weight and the evaluation and the priority are made combining with the ideal point method. At last, using the solution in an example, determining the best configuration of traffic modes based on the analysis of traffic adaptability and calculating the demand factors of all traffic participator in each traffic modes configuration project to select the best project.
