In this paper,the status of MAV research in world-wide area is introduced, especially in the aspects of schemes, functions, and technical targets of several mature autonomous flight control systems. According to the characteristics of MAV itself and the requirements of system, the hardware system of the autonomous flight control system which kernel-CPU is ARM on the existed MAV platform is designed.Then, the hardware implementation is analyzed which includes circuits designing, sensor selecting, demarcating methods of sensors'output signal, and the measures of anti-interference .The embedded Linux Operation System is used on the ARM base system as its software development environment. The BootLoader and the hardware device drivers under Linux are completed in this paper. Char Device is introduced, and several char device drivers are designed.Finally, the development of image compression and the key-technica of MPEG4 are also dicussed. A solution of MPEG4 encoding with hardware codec and integrated with telemetering data are shown in the paper. This solution can save channels, reduce the system energy consumption and ensure the security of the telemetry data.The whole system meet the requirements of small dimensions, light weight, high integration, and show good stabilization and superior anti-interference in flight tests.
