Research On The Cultivation Of Creative Thinking In Industrial Design Education

As the most important and pivotal approach, education assumes the responsibility of cultivating the persons with ability, and industrial design education should take the excellent designers'cultivation as the jumping-off place. Creative thinking is the spirit of design, design is the art expression of thinking, so innovation is the essence of design. Industrial design should put the cultivation of creative thinking on the first.In this thesis, the author starts at the industrial design education, does profound research on creative thinking. Through analyzing the deficiency, the author explores the teacher's diathesis, the teaching environment and the students'cultivation. On this condition, the author suggests that in order to cultivate creative thinking, the teachers should renew their knowledge, improve the teaching approach, guide the students to take part in design competition, and construct the condign education environment including society environment, campus environment and class environment, the students should cultivate creationary personality, perfect their knowledge structure and succeed to the culture.Then at the base, the author tries to put forward a proposal about a new creative thinking class--Breached-Chrysalis Class. In fact, this class is a breakthrough to traditional education form, it pays much attention to the convergent thinking training, divergent thinking training and so on, encourages the students to use diversiform expression forms, does its best to disinter the students'originality and get perfect class effect. Through analyzing the"design thinking training"of Communication University of China,"the innovation workshop"of Hunan University and the endeavor and development of our department in the industrial design education's attempt, it proves that the BCC is doable and valuable.
