Railway transportation is the most availability land transport vehicles which with advantage of fast , heavy-load, low cost and safty, and it plays an important role in the national construction and the development of economy, With the development of economy, railway transportation needs high quality diesel locomotive with high-speed, heavy-load and high reliability, perdurable, low pollution and lower noise. At present, most of the diesel locomotive still using the traditional relay in diesel logical control system, for relay interlock has too many contact parts, it is complicated for control circuit and to connect lines, it makes the control system unreliable and inconvenient to repaire, and some of the contacts will be burned for frequently movements. All of this will make diesel locomotive low efficiency.The PLC technology is very important in modern industry control system, it is efficient, dependable and convenient to use. This thesis researched on diesel locomotive DongFeng11 and given the improvement of technology solution based on PLC. The theise reasearch the PLC logical control sysyem which replace the traditional relay control system by PLC' s interior relay replace the real relay, establishing logical control system and Host Link system to improve the reliability and stability of the system and achieve the computer monitoring. At present, students study the diesel locomotive by traditional way, it is boring and difficult to understand, For improvement the teach effect and impression students' understanding, the thises discussed the possibility of the improvement of control system and build the simulation experiment platform to simulate the control process of the locomotive.
