Traditional diesel locomotive uses electrical control system with contacts; this electrical control system has so many inherent and inevitable defects. For example, the wrong mechanical move of the device with contacts, there are so many wires in the control circuit, the universal of the system is poor and there is so much workload for checking. In this design, we use the technology of modern power electrics and micro electrics for making the logic control unit to replace the traditional logic control system. The orders of the microchip can control the devices with the output channels made by power electrics devices; it can avoid driving devices for so many levels. So it can simplify the control circuit of the diesel locomotive ,reduce the number of wires, improve the reliability of the system and simplify the control system of the diesel locomotive, improve the flexibility of design for control system of the locomotive, shorten the cycle of the design and commissioning. The microchip makes the logic control module had the function for fault judgment. In this article, I research the replacement of the traditional control system based on DF7 diesel locomotive.In the first chapter, it describes the status of the development of the diesel locomotive control system and the purpose and significance of the transformation for the control system with contacts. In the second chapter, I get the relationship of logic control after learning and understanding the control system of the diesel locomotive.In the third chapter, it introduces the design method of the logic control unit. The output and input channels are made by power electrics devices. Replacing the contact control system by software with CPLD and logic control IP module. In the fourth chapter, it introduces the role of the CAN bus in the logic control unit. The logic control unit is communication with the other devices with CAN bus. In the fifth chapter, it introduces the function of logic control unit for fault judgment. In the sixth chapter, it describes the methods for anti-jamming in the unit. In the end, I summarize the content of this thesis and draw a conclusion. Moreover, I indicate the prospect and assumption, which is related to the more research in this study direction.
