The tracking interval of high-speed railway is an important indicator of trains operation management and an important parameter that affects the passing capacity of high-speed railway.At present,5-minute tracking interval is widely used in high-speed railway in China.As the demand for social transportation increases,the capacity of many lines will be saturated,and there is an urgent need to research the feasibility of compressing the tracking interval of high-speed railways to 3 minutes or 4 minutes.In fact,a lot of high-speed railways in China are designed with a 3-minute tracking interval.However,there will be a situation that the traction force will be insufficient due to the power ratings cannot be used when trains tracking operation in 3 minutes during operations.Therefore,it is necessary to study the whole operation process of high-speed railway accurately.From the perspective of high-speed railway traction simulation and in accordance with the actual conditions,this paper establishes models of trains,lines and power supply networks that conform to China's high-speed railway to simulate the tracking operation process of high-speed railway trains.By recording the train running data during each iteration,an appropriate algorithm is designed to calculate the high-speed railway tracking interval based on traction simulation.Checking the model with Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway,it is concluded that each train can exert its power ratings when the trains tracking operation in 255 seconds(4 minutes and 15 seconds).According to the lowest voltage of the train,the limit of tracking interval time will be determined.The main innovations of this paper are:(1)According to the characteristics of high-speed railway in China,a multi-granularity high-speed railway model and a rigid rope train model are established to accurately describe the process of the train passing through the position of line's attribute changed which can improve the calculation accuracy.(2)This paper studied the influence of the traction power supply system on the tracking operation.The research is carried out from the current distribution of power supply network,calculation of unit impedance and train voltage,and the whole process of the train passing neutral phase insulator area,so that the traction simulation is more practical.(3)Based on the analysis of the coding logic of the blocks,the simulation modelsof the operation of the single train and the tracking trains are established respectively.Drawing on the formula method,the algorithm flow of calculation tracking interval time based on traction simulation is designed,which provides a new angle for the research of tracking interval time of high-speed railway and overcomes the defect of formula method using average speed calculation.
