"Yike yin" plays an important role in Yunnan's numerous type's dwelling houses. Its evolution and development is the process of Yunnan's local culture and the Han culture constantly integration,and Yunnan's local construction techniques became maturity and opening up.The formation of dwelling house is a long-term of constantly accumulation,choice,renewal,and development.Formerly research of "yike yin" dwelling house are numerous,always just a single form of its exposition space,and lack of a vertical and horizontal system comparison.Therefore,this paper mainly from the view of the historical development,to straightened out "yike yin" 's evolution of formation and development,and to analysis the form factors of "yike yin" such as terrain conditions,the climate and environment,building materials,patterns of economic,social life and cultural.And focused on the "yike yin" 's development process and the evolution characteristics,comparison the differences of "yike yin" on space shape before and after the evolution,and the differences between it and other courtyard houses.Which is to understand its own characteristics,demonstrated the evolution formation process of "yike yin" 's space shape and to discuss the dilemma and outlet of "yike yin" and the inspiration and significance to modern housing design. This has very practical significance to the dwelling house in Yunnan and village building.This paper first has discussed the purpose and significance of the study,defined the scope and content based on this,and then put forward the overall framework. Analysised the evolutionary process of "yike yin",and more in-depth,specific is the impact of factors involved,including local factors,external cultural factors,As this we can understand the "yike yin" dwelling house is not a material simple living space,it reflects the people,social and natural aspects,its the result of the interaction of various factors.Then comparative analysis "yike yin" 's space shape in the evolution process, including spatial shape,the concept of space,and space structure,the evolution of "yike yin" is the adaptation to terrain,climate,life custom,construction craft,and home economics.Then compared "yike yin" and other courtyard houses to make a clearer understanding of the character of "yike yin".According to the correlation analysis and "yike yin" 's practical contradictions,elaborated the significance of "yike yin" 's existence in the future,and explored the inheritance and some newer ideas of "yike yin" in a modern new dwelling houses,as well as its inspiration to modern architecture.
