| Automobile safety is the one of the three studies of automotive industry sustainable development. Car safety research has been universal concern and attention. According to the statistics and traffic accidents and the study on the results of vehicle collision tests indicate, Steering system collisions have a large proportion according to the all types of car accidents, which is one of the main components that make the driver seriously injured. This paper's major study is the collision safety CAE analysis of steering column on EPS used on north star of CHANGHE.This text analysis the steering column's construction and the energy-absorbing theory, the function and the deflection of every part in collision. According to the collision test and the function of parts, based on the non- linear finite element theory, simplify the steering column. The simulation model is established with ANSYS/LS- DYNA software. And definite the element type and material model of every part. Analysis the model construction meshing and components. in accordance with the request of heavy and the rubber, determine the parameters Of heavy model, and the construct,the simulation starting condition and the boundary condition, the friction coefficient of the contact parts, contact stiffness and penetrate check.Finally, in the case of initial condition( 1000 mm shocks) the model is simulated when the surplus between the upper and lower volume is 0.02 mm , 0.05, 0.10 mm, 0.15 mm respectively. And get the result of different surplus's volume: displacement- time and speed - time, acceleration - time, stress - time images of the moment heavy casing and the relative position. At the same time, the simulation is done when the surplus between the upper and lower volume is 0.10 mm, under different initial condition 800mm and 200mm height shock. |
