The Research Of Urban Landscape Space Based On The Visual Analysis

The quality of the urban landscape space is largely determined by the visual effects, therefore, the content of visual, landscape and the space, as well as their interrelationship is the central part of the landscape design methodology. From individual point of view, the analysis of the urban landscape space is subjective and the evaluation of the same landscape may greatly varies from different individuals. Therefore the analysis and evaluation of the landscape has both uncontrollability due to different individuals and common view based on majorities. Finding a scientific evaluation method to study the common view of the urban landscape space is one of the most important content of the landscape design methodology. If the methods are used properly and the analysis and evaluation are convincing enough to be easily used in the social practice, there will be a better landscape.Visual landscape space focuses on the leading position of visual effect on the urban landscape experience. Visual experience helps people feeling the features of urban landscape space, including the distance, volume, spaces and directions. It psychologically effects people through the visual landscape environment patterns. This paper analyses the urban landscape space from the viewpoint of the visual analysis and evaluation. The analysis can be divided into six parts as follows.The first part is the part of Introduction. It introduced of the main topics on the subject and sources, research background, the application and the shortcomings in the application. Then, it described its purpose and significance in the research.The second part firstly introduces of the concept of the urban landscape space. And introduces its the present situation, misunderstanding and the trend of its development. Then it discusses the attribute characteristics of the urban landscape space system, and then researches the main elements and object of the elements of the urban landscape space, after that, analyses the levels of the urban landscape space system.The third part analyses visual effect based on physiology and psychology and integrates the relationship between visual and landscape. This relationship prepare for the foundation of the analysis and evaluation system. The visual landscape study is mainly based on human's visual feelings and their requirements and how to create a pleasant environment by using real spaces according to the aesthetic rules, which strongly requires theoretical research of visual landscape aesthetics.The fourth part analyzes the application of vision in landscape space in a comprehensive way.(Such as sight of maps, aerial visual analysis, earth visual analysis and the ground for visual analysis )It also brings up some design principles based on the visual analysis of the landscape space.The fifth part anatomizes the main elements and the objective elements of the urban landscape space. After that, it research the methods and principles of the visual analysis and evaluation of the urban landscape space, including its standards, foundations and the values.The sixth part summarizes the results of this research, and made prospect on the development of the urban landscape space.
