| There is a widely spread using of contemporary long-span timber building in some developed countries for the ecological factor, energy-conserving performance and unique artistic value. More attention have been paid to this research in China. Being the coalescent point of structure engineering science and architecture, structure form is important signification to the development of contemporary timber structure. The international development in this domain are explored in this thesis in the structure design concept and aesthetic value of contemporary long span timber building.First of all, by the reviewing of the phylogeny of timber structure, some characters such as ecology and safety and so on are presented in this thesis. And the material, the node and the structure form of contemporary long-span timber structure are classed in it. Moreover, some characters of above mentioned factors are concluded.In the following, by analyzing some abroad contemporary long-span timber buildings, some important factors which are including the factors of architectural function space, the factor of architectural environment and the factor of technology and economy are put forward in this thesis. Father more, some design principles are illustrated as follows: structural cutting, structural combination, parameter adjusting, component transforming are four principles which base on the structure form in existence. New structure form can be created by using the bionic method and model method.Finally, four aspects of aesthetic value including space, structure, material and detail were drawn.By analyzing some contemporary long-span timber buildings, the author strives to provide some significative reference to domestic designers. |
