Long-span space structure types are complicated in the long-time development process, such as the trussed construction, the grid structure, and arch structure, each has a specific mechanical properties and unique aesthetic expression. However, nowadays, one single formal structure has become increasingly unable to meet the needs of architecture design and construction. Because of its shape’s relatively simple, since the major span and structural height is restricted, in a wide range of contemporary architectural expression backdrop of inadequate spare capacity. Mixed hanging structure system as a hybrid structure, with a light weight structure, a clear relationship between stress, high structural efficiency, wide range of applications and many other features, is a more advanced type of large span structures, and has a strong structure performance capabilities. In this paper, in terms of the mechanical properties of the structure, performance and other practical applications as well as aesthetics mixed hanging structure system were studied.This paper hanging from the principles of mechanics hybrid architecture point of view, study the root causes of many unique mechanical, and according to the role of the characteristics of each sub-structure, the structure of the system is divided into bearer, hanging body and the body of the three components of Rachel and the characteristics of each part was analyzed. For mixed hanging structural system with its own characteristics and development, presented the advantages and limitations that currently exist. This article focuses on the application architecture from the mixed form of hanging Span buildings, methods, combining a large number of engineering practice, research and summarize the structure characteristics and laws of the constituent parts of the application as well as a structural unit. On this basis, through the grasp of the structure and morphology of scrutiny hybrid architecture in large cross hanging in the form of building performance, from the ratio of the scale, showing a sense of power, five different aspects of light momentum, morphology and interfacial permeability contrast, etc. the performance of the morphological structure of a more detailed analysis. Meanwhile, there is detail to create structures were discussed, in order to form a complete structure of the performance of research results.Through the application of hybrid hanging architecture and performance studies in large span buildings, the paper hope for today and the future development of large span architecture design to provide new ideas and reference.
