The thesis studies the development of architecture designs for high-speed railway station of small and medium cities in China, and tallying up the features for design overseas on the stage. It will gradually replace by international active"identity of waiting and riding"mode that"waiting for"transportation types of traditional state railway. With the increase of requirement for passenger capacity and promotion of delivery technology, the conceptual design for intermediate and small station is taken on the trend of two-way development to"traffic-oriented"and"leading to thoroughfare".The paper drops out a viewpoint to the development trend of design for small and medium high-speed station, with the analysis of the status of our city, and lessoned from the experience of design in developed countries, combining with the argumentation of the contemporary thoughts of architecture theory.Gradually focusing on site from city to zone, the paper show a new interpretation of traffic organization relationship between trafficability station and outer urban space. In accordance to a series of finished site of Europe high-speed railway network, it does a new thinking on interior function, exterior form, humanization design, flexible design and so on.The architectural space of trafficability station meets the characters of high intensivism of use function and all-dimensional adaptation, and the core thought of designs is how to achieve real Man First by means of architecture. The article discusses it in six parts: regional character of passenger flow oriented to set function of the architecture, and traffic organization of the station within and without have unified convenience; architectural external morphology embody the character of critical regionalism, with the view to stand out urban identifiability; take fault tolerance into account in humanization design; reintegrating service facilities of passenger transport, it achieves intelligent operation for system and industrialization; integrated mode of inner space shade into identity of waiting and riding, reinforcing flexible design of waiting space; construction on the worldwide net and capital operation of high-speed railway.
